Construction: GH-F400 is an interlock braid using synthetic yarns thoroughly impregnated with PTFE suspensoid. The finished packing is again coated with PTFE dispersion and a break-in lubricant is added to reduce shaft wear and eliminate glazing at start up.

Application: It is an excellent multi-service packing that finds a wide variety of uses throughout a plant. It handles steam, water, solvents, oils, mild acids and alkalies, and a broad range of other chemicals. It is white in color and will not discolor the flow media. Recommended for use in centrifugal, rotary and reciprocating pumps and also mixers, agitators, and expansion joints. GH-F401 packing is a non-lubricated version of GH-F400.

Service Limits:

Construction: This special packing combines a resilient silicone rubber core with synthetic yarns which is thoroughly impregnated with PTFE suspensoid and silicon lubricant. 
Application: The elastic rubber core gives the packing better memory, allowing it to withstand radial shaft motion and vibration while maintaining excellent leakage control with minimal gland adjustments. It is designed for use in general service applications such as agitators, blenders, mixers, or any other applications that undergo shaft deflection in normal operating conditions. GH-F401SC packing is a non-lubricated version of GH-F400SC.

GH-280 General Service, Synthetic/Graphite Packing (NA)

Construction: GH-280 is an interlock braid using synthetic yarns thoroughly impregnated with a special petroleum based lubricant and graphite.

Application: It is a dense, but flexible general service packing that adapts well to worn or scored shafts often found in older equipment. It assures an excellent seal against steam, brine, oil, and mild acids and alkalies. This packing is well-suited for applications in rotary and centrifugal pumps and some valves.
